Thanksgiving weekend my boyfriend took me to see The Muppet Movie. I am in love. I have been "muppeting out" since we saw it.
I've spent a lot of time on the Muppet Wiki, as well as a lot of time on the FAO Shwarz site making whatnots. I also bought the soundtrack and may or may not have listened to it exclusively for a few days.
The final piece of my obsession with muppets is an obsession with the OPI line of muppet themed nail polishes. I bought "Rainbow Connection" because I'm a sucker for the song and a sucker for glitter. I absolutely love it. I have a strong desire to also buy "Warm & Fozzie". I think I probably will once I get my hands on another Ulta coupon.

Bunny in a costume
Today I came as close as I think I will ever come to getting the bunny to wear a costume:
She is now a bunny pumpkin.
I am so happy about it. I obviously need to buy more silly headbands to stick on the bunny.
I think I would like to make one with a tiny bunny jockey.

Bunny Gets a Garden
Kroger had its living herbs on clearance and lucky for me one parsley plant wasn't too sickly.
This means that Ferdie now has her own little plant which she's quickly eating out of existence.

Three Years!
When I was leaving for class this morning I found this beautiful bouquet waiting on my doorstep.
Eric and I have been dating three years today. Isn't that wild?
I am so happy to be with him.

I made a cake!
This was for my nephew's birthday. His favorite show in the world is Phineas and Ferb, so I tried my hand at making a perry cake. I took some guidance from one of my favorite crafty blogs Dabbled, and made up some things along the way, but here it is!
It's a little bit wreck-y, but hey, I made it and I'm proud.
A Bunny's Eye View
I promised a while back a tour of my apartment, which I haven't gotten around to yet, but Ferdinand has :)
Here is the front entrance. That pet gate really peeves Ferdie but is entirely necessary. Nacho the cat thinks we're hiding another room from her.
This is our main room. I have yet to pick up bar stools to make that breakfast nook a good eating space.
And here you can see the bottom of the beautiful new couch my roommate Ashley bought, and a peek of the floor of our kitchen.
So concludes Ferdie's tour of our apartment.
Baking with Cookie Stamps
I recently purchased these beauties on ebay
I LOVE Disney (as apparent by my other posts) so I was super excited to try them out.
In case you're not a Disney or baking nut, these are cookie stamps created by Brown Bag.
I just love their mission statement to revolutionize how people think of cookies.
Sadly, because the stamps and molds are so beautiful, all too often they're displayed rather than baked with.
Obviously my molds and stamps will get lots and lots of use.
Here are some photos of my first time baking with them
Here they are all stamped and pretty, waiting for the oven

Bento Box
I've started trying my hand at making bento-style lunches.
So far they've had a western twist, but in the future I hope to switch to more traditional bentos.
Here is a shot of my latest lunch:
Treat From Eric
Yesterday I came home after class, and I was surprised and excited to find a note on my door from Edible Arrangements. My wonderful, amazing boyfriend had sent me a treat. I am so lucky to have such a sweet, thoughtful boyfriend. I miss him so much.

A Craft I Plan to Make
I have two Disney reusable shopping bags that I absolutely love, but obviously I need more.
Which is why I plan to make this craft.
I'm posting this here as a reminder to myself for later.

Donald Cookies
Over the past few days I made and decorated Donald duck cookies from a brown bag cookie mold. The process was fun and different.
My mold looks just like this one (although this is not my image)
Image from Artistic Cookies they have a wide selection of cookie molds available
At first I followed the recipe included in my mold's booklet exactly, but I quickly realized the dough was far too sticky to make a molded cookie. This meant I had to knead in flour until the dough felt right (mind you this is my first time using this recipe).
That created a huge mess:
And here they are right after they came out:
Then I put a light glaze on them:
Which waterproofed them enough that I could try "painting" the cookies:
I used gel food coloring like water colors, which was much easier than piping, and made for a gorgeous cookie (in my opinion)

All Moved In!
Yesterday I spent the day moving into my new apartment. It is BEAUTIFUL! I'm going to post a full photo tour right once I'm finished unpacking. I do have a quick shot of the kitchen:
It's my very favorite part of the apartment. I can't wait to bake up a storm in there.
Ashley and I did a small bit of cooking last night
We made smores with GIANT marshmallows. The were delicious and extremely messy. Ashley took a picture of me in the middle of eating one, but it's so unflattering I can't bring myself to post it.

Detroit Maker Faire 2011
Yesterday my mom took me to the Detroit Maker Faire. I had an absolutely awesome time. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
I learned to cross stitch (so now I can video game craft in a better medium
Here is my first project (I'm still working on it) It's not too impressive, but it's a start. The kit to make him was free at maker faire, so that was pretty darn exciting.
I also learned to sodder, but I took the battery out of my makerbot pin so that it would last longer (no picture yet, but I'll take one later)
I met storm troopers and tusken raiders
and the Rancor
Not to mention all the exciting shows and interesting crafts.
My favorite show was the life sized mouse trap, but it went too fast to get a good picture of it in action.

Star Wars Stuff
Today my sister and I flipped through a Wilton Cake decorating guide from 1983.
It was a lot of fun. We saw some wrecks, and some neat ideas.
Here are two of my favorite wrecks from the book (There were a lot of gems though)
(That mama kangaroo is made from a bowling ball pan)
(This was made with the bear pan...)
One thing I particularly liked was the Star Wars decorating stuff.
The candy molds being my favorite:
I would love it if I could mold candy into wookie and R2D2 shapes. Fun fact though, these candy molds are now out of production and worth a fortune.
After bumming for a bit about the fact that I can't have the coveted candy molds, I did a quick search for what star wars goodies I can have.
I found these:
Cookie cutters from williams sonoma
Cupcake stencils from williams sonoma
They also had pancake molds, sandwich cutters, and ship-shapes (like x wings and the millennium falcoln).
I was at the mall earlier, and all the ship ones are half off, but I really want the star wars character ones...

Mario Perler Set Complete (Maybe)
I've finished all my Mario Perlers (I think).
Here is my last one:
And here they all are together:
I'm thinking about making a few more. Maybe a Toad or a Yoshi, but maybe not.
I still have more to do with them to make them into a complete craft, but there they all are.

More Mario Crafts
I finished two more mario perler projects, so I'm well on my way to my coaster set. I'm trying to figure out whether I want them to be coasters at all, or if I'd rather they were incorporated into a decorative hot pad or cork. I'm thinking about different materials as possible backgrounds.

Mario Perler Craft
I've just finished making my very first perler bead craft (other than all the ones I made when I was very small). It's Mario in his goomba shoe. I think I'm going to make a few more types of mario/mario characters and end up with a lovely coaster set (inspired by these coasters)
More Mario/Nintendo crafts to come! (I hope...)

Ferdinand Goes For a Walk
I took Ferdinand out for a walk the other day and got some cute photos.
She always fights me when I go to put on her leash, but then she loves hanging out outside.

I was wandering on the internet and I saw these beds that are childhood dreams come true. Hopefully, someday I'll have the crafting skills to make awesome beds like this.
Isn't that genius? I don't think I ever actually imagined a bed like this as a child, but I would have loved it. (I still would love it)
And it looks so comfy!
This second bed actually is something out of a dream. When I was little me and my siblings would make "nests" on the stairs using blankets and pillows. I always wanted to leave them out and sleep there. Maybe someday....
my future kids will be able to sleep in a nest like I always wanted to.

Tico's Big Adventure
The lock on Tico's cage broke off a little while ago. Since then I've been making do with a piece of duct tape to keep the lid on. The problem with that is, each time I open the cage a little bit of the sticky is lost. Because of this Tico escaped from his cage today... twice.
The first time was on the drive back to school. I glanced into the back seat to find myself face to face with a very proud Tico. I managed to shove him back in his cage, and I figured that was done. I should of recognized that he escaped because the tape had lost its stick, but instead I assumed he had gotten out because I hadn't pushed the tape down hard enough. This was wrong.
Fast forward a few hours, I get home from class. I don't even bother to check if Tico is in his cage, because I assume he is. Eric pointed Tico out to me, as he was running under my bed. This time he had been out long enough that he was excited to head back home, which is concerning. I also found a large pile of sunflower seed shells, he managed to gorge himself on his big day out. However, he seems to be doing well. I hope he stays happy and healthy.

Disney Store
I have a little bit of a problem with The Disney Store.
I LOVE Disney. It's a bit of an obsession. I spend a good part of my free time looking at stuff on the Disney Store website. While I'm hanging out there I find so many things that I don't need, but that I very much want.
Prime example:
This 20 piece flatware set I lusted after for weeks. I do not need flatware. I don't even have my own kitchen yet. Yet, I wanted it so bad.
Now I'm lusting after this dinnerware:
As I mentioned earlier, I do not even have a kitchen. Why do I have a desire to stock my non-existent kitchen with Disney dinnerware?
There is one item on the Disney Store site I've been lusting after that is somewhat practical:
I would wear that! It's perfect for summer sleeping, lounging, ect. I've wanted a romper for a while, and it's adorable... and one of the reviews said it would be adorable on someone about 5'3".
Just as I've convinced myself that I should buy it, and it's worth it, and I would wear it allll the time, I remember that it is 40 dollars. That is 40 dollars that I do not have.
Then I sigh, and I keep shopping, and keep lusting after EVERYTHING on that site.
